Talent Award 2015Jury: Søren Vinterberg (DK), Janne Korsumäki (FI), CAV Bøgelund (DK)
|
"No Man's Land" (Orig.: "Sort") by David Adler (DK)

The jury said:
"The winner of this year's animation talent award, is a film that spans the wide gulf from poetry to hard realism, from love and tenderness, to horror and violence- and thus perfectly captures the themes of this year’s festival. It's a confidently directed, and very ambitious, film, that builds a complex relationship worthy of a feature-length movie in just under 20 minutes.
It might be made in a computer, but it's a very physical film, that almost feels like it is shot on location. We are right there with the characters, so close that you can almost reach out and touch them. It makes us hold our breath with both quiet intimate moments, and headspinning scenes of war and death.
Not afraid to take chances, but built on a solid foundation of clear and concise storytelling, it holds great promise for the future of its director.
The winner of this year’s animation talent award is "No Man's Land" by David Adler."
