På Award Showet på Odense Film Festival fredag aften i Odense blev der uddelt priser til både international og nationale kortfilm.
Animationssammenslutningen uddeler hver år deres egne to priser under overskriften "The Danish Animation Awards". Det drejer sig om BØRGE RING AWARD til den bedste animationsfilm i programmet samt TALENTPRISEN til et nyt dansk animationstalent.
Årets animationsjury var: Thorbjørn Christoffersen (DK), Anne-Marie Steen Petersen (DK) og Christen Bach (DK)

Børge Ring Award 2013"Una Furtiva Lagrima" af Carlo Vogele (LU)
Juryen sagde: "The Borge Ring Award is given to a film that shows elements of musicality and poetry, and where the story is personal and well told, and where the animation is unique. The film chosen by the jury contains all these elements. The director has mixed a marvellous sound of opera with images from a totally different part of life, and thus he evokes a brand new world in a very short, smashing film. It is funny, it is touching and it is beautiful in saturated italian colours. The Borge Ring award goes to Carlo Vogele with Una Furtiva Lagrima."
ANIS Talentpris 2013
Susanne Bækby Olesen (DK) for "Skål Viola!"
Juryen sagde: "This years Talent Award goes to a movie which initially confused us in terms of finish. As the movie progresses however, we discover a directorial talent with a firm grip of the storytelling and a strong ability to create nuanced characters.The Director excels in creating a story with a strong message for both the heart and the mind. The reflection of the grownup world in the little girls relation to her teddybear is thought provoking and reveals the feeling of both frustration and comfort in the mind of the child. This years talent award goes to Susanne Bækby Olesen for the movie Cheers Viola."
Vi vil i forbindelse med dette gerne officielt beklage overfor årets Talentprisvinder Susanne Bækby Olesen ("Skål Viola!") at det fejlagtigt ikke blev dobbelttjekket om hun kunne deltage i selve prisoverrækkelsen, hvorfor hun ikke var i stand til selv at modtage prisen på scenen.
Susannes takketale: "Tusind tak for den flotte pris. Det glæder mig meget, at en film som denne, som i den grad lever af sin fortælling, kan vinde en talentpris. Jeg er utrolig glad for den anerkendelse Skål Viola har modtaget de seneste dage og jeg vil selvfølgelig gerne sige tak til alle de som har hjulpet mig undervejs. Først og fremmest vil jeg gerne fremhæve Maahir Pandie, min klassekammerat fra The Animation Workshop og partner i Drawesome Pictures. Han har stået mig bi helt fra start og det er hans karakter designs og animationsevner der bærer filmen. Derudover er jeg selvfølgelig også dybt taknemmelig for den tillid og støtte jeg har mødt fra ANIS, The Animation Workshop og min familie. Listen er lang men jeg skal også nævne menneskerne bag stemmerne: I hovedrollen Moïra Lili Leborgne som Viola, Lasse Popp som Sebastian og Violas far og sidst men ikke mindst Gitte Elsborg i rollen som moren. Til sidst et dybt buk og tak til Jesper Maintz, Thomas Richard Christensen, Morten Thorning og Ellen Riis. Jeg har fået mod på flere af de gode og vigtige fortællinger, der vil noget."
Special Mention 2013
"Goutte d'Or" af Christopher Peladan (FR)
Juryen sagde: "The jury would like to give a speciel mention to a film, in which the visual ambition truly is an impressive feat of strengh. It shows us remarkable skills in animation, character and set-design, skills that lies in the absolute top - both nationally and internationally. And on top of that the sound and music flows delightfully together with the image with great finesse. It's a film that really caresses the eye in a way that seems almost overwhelming, if you take the short format of the film into perspective - we, as an audience, get presented to so much eye-candy in such a short time! The jury would like to thank Christophe Peladan, and his film 'Goute d'Or' for 10 minutes of sublime animation-skills and entertainment."
