Fredrikstad Animation Festival has decided to move the festival to the end of October. In 2018 the festival will be held from the 25th to the 28th of October. The changes are due to changes in the schedule of Norwegian film festivals, where several other film festivals in Norway have been changing their dates recently. Changes in the international scene and campaigns have also made an impact on the decision to change the dates of the Nordic region’s largest animation festival. The move of the festival will also affect the pre-selection processes and the submission dates. Submissions will now open at May 1st, with new deadline June 1st.
