The jury said:
"We are proud to announce the very first Børge Ring-award. We have chosen this film for its personal creative expression and musicality that we find unusual. The film opens as something that is almost a static painting which is both beautiful and very original. The film is apparently completely still - nothing happens! In a split second everything changes. The film's tempo changes from style portrait to an insane, irreversible story. What we find unusual about the film's narrative form is that the viewer works like crazy to piece together this backward told story. In addition, to this unique narrative style, it is well animated and the audio and background design are amazing. It is an intriguing story in which the interaction between music, design, animation and soundtrack are performed with wonderful timing.
In the spirit of Børge Ring the winner is: Rew Day by Svilen Dimitrov!"
The jury was Flemming Quist Møller (DK, musician, storyteller, artist), Gunnar Wille (DK, storyteller and Head of the Animation Dep. at the National Film School of Denmark) and Paw Charlie Ravn (DK, winner of last years Talent Award).
